Excess of rain

Excess of rain may cause oxygen deficiency in the root zone and consequently disease problems. Furthermore it can lead to impassability of the fields by farm machinery. The occurrence of these problems depend strongly on land configuration as well as the soil type and the subsoil characteristics. Fields with soils with low natural drainage capacity can be improved by drainage pipes in the subsoil.
